Precisely because the organization is transparent, you will quickly be given responsibility and see the immediate results of your contribution.
You will contribute to these kinds of innovations
The Innovatiefonds Noord-Holland is one of the most active early-stage investors in the province of Noord-Holland, with a total fund capital of nearly €50 million. Since 2018, INH has provided financing to more than 90 companies . INH finances innovative companies in the very earliest phase, often research spin-offs from knowledge institutions in the region. In addition, INH also finances other SMEs in the Province of Noord-Holland with a Proof-of-Concept project. In doing so, they give young companies the opportunity to grow.
Examples of innovations at INH:
- Phosphoenix : they are developing a technique that allows blind people to regain their sight in a functional way. With funding from INH, Phosphoenix is developing the fountain probe with 1,000 electrodes that stimulates the visual part of the brain (LGN). This generates phosphenes, which enable the recognition of shapes, letters, and the edges of objects.
- Hydryx : develops a landfill gas management system to reduce methane emissions from landfills. By making green gas from landfills available, the power grid can be further decarbonized.
- Rapid Photonics (spin-off of the Vrije Universiteit): develops production technology for thin-film lithium niobate photonic integrated circuits. This creates a new generation of photonic chips that can make fiber optic connections faster with lower energy consumption.
