Alkemia SGR S.p.A., an independent asset management company focused on Private Equity, PIPE and Venture Capital funds, is looking for a high-potential Investment Analyst / Associate to join the investment team in Milan.
The ideal candidate has 3/6 years of experience in Private Equity, Venture Capital, Investment Banking or in the Transaction dept. of a”Big Four” firms or similar leading boutiques. He/she will be involved in the full investment cycle: sourcing, analysis, due diligence, deal execution and portfolio management.

Experience & Education Required
- Experience:
- forInvestment Analyst: 3–4 years of experience in VC/PE (including internships or analyst roles), Investment Banking, or Transaction Services / Corporate Finance within Big Four firms.
- forInvestment Associate: 5–6 years of relevant experience in the same fields.
- Additional highly valued experience (including internships): strategic/management consulting or audit (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Deloitte, PwC, KPMG, EY, Accenture) and/or direct experience working within or with startups.
- Education: bachelor’s or master’s degree in Economics, Corporate Finance, or Management.
- Languages: excellent written and spoken English. Fluency in other languages (besides Italian) is highly appreciated.
Key Responsibilities & Skills Requested
1.Dealflow Management, Sourcing & Evaluation
- Manage and monitor deal flow across established Italian and European venture capital sources.
- Conduct in-depth market research on strategic investment sectors and emerging themes.
- Meet with the Fund’s Team to screen and evaluate potential investment opportunities.
- Manage the fund’s back-office operations (updating databases, preparing reports, etc.).
- Track portfolio companies’ KPIs and meticulously analyze any deviations from target numbers.
2. Deal Execution & Due Diligence
- Participate actively in due diligence processes; identify key investment metrics through quantitative analysis, reference checks, and on-site visits.
- Perform valuation analysis and thoroughly analyze corporate financial statements.
- Prepare investment memoranda and present findings during discussions with the internal Investment Committee.
- Work closely with legal counsel to negotiate investment documentation.
- Support the valuation and monitoring of the fund’s portfolios.
3. Technical Skills
- Advanced Office Proficiency: High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Examples of specific requirements: Excel macros/matrix creation, VBA programming, and professional Word template creation/application.
- Nice to have: programming / processes automation / AI integration skills
