Role & Responsibilities
Town Hall Ventures is seeking an MBA Summer Intern to work alongside our Investment team assessing new investment opportunities as well as designing and deploying AI capabilities to help us make superior and faster investment decisions.
This role offers a unique opportunity: Help create the AI enhanced future of venture capital investments and position yourself uniquely as a candidate for a post MBA full time investment team role.
The intern will work closely with investment professionals and partners to gain hands-on experience in healthcare venture capital, supporting all aspects of deal execution, thematic research, and portfolio management during a ~10 week program.
The exact timing and duration of the summer internship will have flexibility to accommodate the successful applicant and Town Hall.
Market Compensation: $15,000 per month
Key Responsibilities
Investment Execution and Due Diligence – 25% of time commitment

Conduct robust market, business-level, and financial analysis for actionable deal opportunities.

Build pro-forma forecasts of business financials and assess the strength of management teams.

Prepare valuation models using capitalization tables and various deal structures

Draft investment memos and presentation materials for the Investment Committee on mid-to-late stage pipeline opportunities.
Thematic Research and Sourcing – 25% of time commitment

Develop perspectives on investable markets through intensive thematic research and policy analysis.

Assist in identifying and sourcing new investment opportunities that align with THV’s mission of serving underserved populations.

Leverage data and market insights to build “POV” documents on emerging healthcare trends, such as AI enablement in care delivery.
AI & Investment Process Reinvention – 50% of time commitment

Imagine the venture capital investment process of the future, enhanced by AI and automation.

Identify “friction points” where AI and automation can deliver 10x improvements in speed or insight quality.

Act as the internal champion for AI adoption, developing custom prompt libraries and training modules to help the broader investment team leverage tools like Gemini, Claude, or specialized VC research platforms.
Experience and Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a top-tier MBA program.

Computer science or engineering undergraduate degree

Prior role in technology and/or product.

Background in healthcare (clinical, operational, or policy) or finance (investment banking, private equity, or consulting) is preferred.

Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.

Location: New York, NY (hybrid; expected in-office presence approximately four days per week).
