VC Internship

We are currently seeking motivated interns in Cologne to support our team in the area of ​​venture capital and start-up management. In this exciting role, you will have the opportunity to participate in various aspects of the venture capital business and gain valuable experience in the start-up industry.

• Acquisition and selection of new start-ups: You will help identify and acquire promising start-ups that fit into our portfolio and support the pre-qualification of our deal flow based on our defined requirements.
• Startup and Deal Administration: You will be responsible for the administrative investment process, adding relevant startups to our database, ensuring continuous documentation, tracking individual process steps, and working closely with our investment managers.
• Deal Due Diligence: You will take on subtasks in the due diligence process in close collaboration with the responsible investment managers.
• Document Management: You will contribute to the creation of investment templates and other relevant documents in the decision-making process, providing significant support to the team.
• Portfolio management and monitoring/reporting: You will assist with the monitoring and reporting of our portfolio companies and gain insights into the collaboration with the startups.
• Growth & More: You have the opportunity to gain initial experience in creating financial modeling reviews and business cases, as well as various topics in fund management and investor relations, and develop further in different areas.

• Passion for startups: You should have a strong interest in the startup scene and entrepreneurship and have already gained initial experience through an internship or working student position at a VC-funded startup or at a VC firm itself. Your goal should be to gain a foothold in the VC industry after your studies.
• Analytical Skills & Finance: The ability to analyze information and draw conclusions is crucial. A basic understanding of finance and business models is also advantageous.
• Independence: You work independently and show initiative; furthermore, it is a matter of course for you to go the extra mile and you are willing to learn continuously and familiarize yourself with various areas of the VC business.
• Teamwork skills: You enjoy working in a team, communicate openly and transparently, have no problem standing up for your work results, and have already successfully demonstrated your interaction skills in a team in practice and gained initial experience.
• Communication skills/Bilingualism: Excellent written and spoken communication skills in both English AND German are essential to handle your daily tasks with us.
• Availability/Working hours: Full-time for at least 3 months, preferably for 6 months
• Location: Cologne (office presence preferred)
