VC Associate

SPLY Capital invests in breakout-stage companies like Aalo Atomics, Apptronik, and Circuit. The firm is growing and we are adding a Fund Associate to work directly with the CEO and leadership team across investments, fund operations, and investor relations. This role will grow into Fund Principal and eventually Venture Partner for the right person.

Year 1 — Fund Associate · Year 2 & 3 — Fund Principal · Year 4 — Partner

• Base salary plus performance compensation
• Carry participation with meaningful upside that grows significantly over time with your title and performance

• Manage LP communications, fund updates, portfolio reporting, and capital raise tracking
• Prepare diligence materials, investment memos, and SPV documentation across active deals
• Own investment closings including DocuSigns, onboarding workflows, and record keeping
• Coordinate with accounting, legal, and tax partners to keep fund operations and reporting accurate and on time
• Lead LP onboarding and maintain investor records, CRMs, data rooms, and reporting platforms
• Oversee distribution workflows for liquidity events including reconciliation and LP communications
• Support fundraising for new funds and SPVs by building LP pipelines and investor documentation
• Coordinate with global venture partners, international LPs, founders, and strategic partners across time zones
• Assist with events, roadshows, annual meetings, and investor dinners
• Work with leadership to improve internal systems, workflows, and AI-driven processes

• LPs come to you directly for updates and coordination
• Investment closings and fundraising pipelines move predictably with strong follow through
• Reporting, fund records, and operational systems stay accurate and on time
• Leadership trusts you to solve problems before they escalate

• Highly organized and detail-oriented with experience in venture capital, private equity, fund management, or startup finance
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable with founders, LPs, executives, and global partners
• Proficient with Google Workspace, CRM systems, spreadsheets, and AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT
• Dependable and responsive, willing to travel once a month and work outside normal hours when needed
• Operates with urgency and accountability without sacrificing accuracy
• Understands confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive investor and deal information
• Committed to the role for at least two years
