The Opportunity: We are seeking a highly motivated Investment Associate to join our investment team. This is a full-time, in-office position based at our Houston headquarters. We believe our collaborative, in-person environment provides the best opportunity for mentorship, professional development, and direct exposure to investment decision-making.
This is not a traditional back-office financial modeling role. You will work directly with the firm’s Managing Partner and gain exposure to every stage of the investment lifecycle—from sourcing and underwriting investments to due diligence, execution, portfolio management, fundraising and investor communications.

As a Private Equity Associate, you will play an integral role across the firm’s investment platform.
- Evaluate new investment opportunities across multiple industries and asset classes
- Build sophisticated financial models and investment analyses to evaluate returns, risks, and capital structures
- Perform valuation analyses, sensitivity analyses, and scenario modeling
- Coordinate financial, legal, operational, and commercial due diligence efforts
- Prepare investment memorandums and presentations for investors and internal investment committee discussions
- Assist with transaction execution, financing processes, and deal closings
- Monitor portfolio company performance against underwriting assumptions and prepare ongoing investment reporting
- Develop quarterly investor reports and presentation materials
- Participate in meetings with investors, lenders, management teams, operating partners, and advisors
- Conduct industry, market, and competitive research to identify emerging investment opportunities
- Identify opportunities to improve investment processes through automation, AI tools, and technology
- Support fundraising initiatives, investor due diligence requests, and strategic projects
- Travel periodically for investment diligence, management meetings, and investor meetings
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, accounting or a related field
- 2-5 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, valuation, or a similar analytical role
- Strong financial statement analysis and corporate finance fundamentals
- Understanding of partnership structures, private equity fund economics, and waterfall mechanics
- Advanced Microsoft Excel modeling skills
- Experience using AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or similar platforms) to enhance financial analysis, research, and workflow efficiency
- Excellent organization, attention to detail and a strong communicator
- Self-starter capable of managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision
- Integrity and commitment to maintaining high confidentiality and ethical standards
- Ability to meet and exceed deadlines in a fast-paced environment
