• Maintain relationships with intermediaries (including fund managers) and co-investors to strengthen deal flow.

• Track pipeline activity and surface insights on deal flow quality, pacing, and emerging themes

• Undertake financial, market, and impact due diligence for assigned investments, coordinating inputs from internal partners and third-party advisors.

• Refresh landscape analyses to understand current contexts in which investments are being considered.

• Evaluate business models, competitive dynamics, management teams, and key risks, forming and documenting investment viewpoints.

• Synthesize and present diligence findings to support clear investment recommendations.

Financial Analysis and Modeling

• Build, maintain, and refine financial models to evaluate prospective investments, including downside scenarios, capital needs, and return profiles.

• Analyze unit economics, cash flow dynamics, valuation, and deal structures across private asset classes.

• Apply financial analysis to ongoing monitoring of individual investments and the portfolio.

Support Transaction Execution, Structuring, and Committee Review

• Prepare and present materials for decision-making review, manage post-decision diligence, and track closing conditions.

• Review and assess legal and economic terms to ensure alignment with investment intent and risk assessment.

• Support transaction execution, including term sheet development, deal structuring, and coordination with legal counsel and external advisors.

Portfolio Monitoring, Reporting, and Relationship Management

• Work with Investment Principal to maintain ongoing engagement with investees and fund managers.

• Monitor and assess financial and impact performance, identifying risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.

• Prepare portfolio-level analyses and reporting for internal stakeholders, including materials for committee review.

Process and Knowledge Management

• Refine and improve investment processes, diligence frameworks, and portfolio monitoring practices.

• Capture and synthesize learnings from diligence and portfolio performance to inform ongoing improvements to investment practices.

• Contribute to the development and improvement of impact measurement and reporting approaches.

Cross-Functional Collaboration and Strategic Project Management

• Partner with the Learning and Evaluation team on impact due diligence, KPI development, and ongoing impact tracking and reporting.

• Collaborate with internal partners across philanthropic, advocacy, and operational teams on cross-cutting initiatives.

• Coordinate effectively with shared services and third-party advisors while retaining accountability for analysis quality and outcomes.

• Contribute to our culture by embodying our core values (belonging, partnership and collaboration, humility, respect for the individual, nimbleness, and being catalytic).

• Be an active participant in team meetings and projects.

• Proactively communicate with colleagues across our matrixed structure.

• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical judgment with attention to detail.

• Ability to independently build, audit, and stress-test financial models including DCF, fund cash flow forecasting, and credit underwriting models.
